The LeBow College of Business retained AVSG to supply and install the RJC designed audiovisual systems for their new building at 32nd and Market Streets. AVSG was presented the award with the mandate that as technology evolves over the expected year long installation, AVSG will install the latest technology available. The design changes are evident in many areas of the facility. The first floor has two case study classrooms each seating 64 students with a dedicated teaching station. The rooms have a ceiling mounted projector connected to the University LAN for monitoring and remote operation. The teaching station is equipped with a dedicated PC and laptop computer connection for the teacher, a document camera; DVD and VCR, Two Sony DXC390 cameras mounted on AMX pan/tilt/zoom heads and ceiling speakers. The cameras have been installed for use during videoconferences, recording and live streaming events. An AMX control panel is installed in the podium for use by the teacher for ease of operation. A media control room is installed to house the switching, recording, control, amplification and mixing stations for the first floor classrooms. Each floor is equipped with media control rooms that are tied together to allow every classroom to view any source from anywhere in the building. The second floor has four computer classrooms each seating 40 students. Every student has a dedicated Dell PC with a flat panel display integrated into the systems furniture. AVSG has redesigned these rooms to include the new AMX computer control system recently released. The system will allow the teacher to discreetly monitor and control each student’s workstation and to selectively display any student’s computer on the main screen. This tool will allow the teacher to help students who may be struggling and to keep students on point. The third floor has four complete Moot Boardrooms each seating 40 students in a true boardroom setting. The room has a ceiling mounted projector connected to the University LAN for monitoring and remote operation. The teaching station in each Moot Boardroom is identical to the first floor. The fourth floor has two Moot Boardrooms and a multipurpose room for the graduate MBA program. The Moot Boardrooms are identical to the third floor rooms with the projectors mounted on lifts to recess in the ceiling. The multipurpose room gives the graduate program a flexible space that will operate for a variety functions. The room is equipped with a complete audiovisual and control system for presentations.
