PRO AV Announces 11 Winners of First Annual Spotlight Awards

Washington, D.C., July 25, 2008—PRO AV, published by Hanley Wood LLC, today announced 11 winners of the first annual PRO AV Spotlight Awards. The program recognizes the best professional audio/video installations designed for corporate, educational and other non-residential applications.

“We’re extremely proud of the Spotlight Awards program,” said Brad Grimes, Editor of PRO AV. “The response from the AV community was greater than we anticipated in our inaugural year and we expect to see good growth in the coming years. This program is our way of recognizing the fantastic work in professional audio/video integration that to date has gone largely unrewarded.”

Entries came into PRO AV from the United States and Canada, in vertical market categories including Corporate, Retail, Education, House of Worship, Government, Health Care, Entertainment/Arts, and Hospitality/Restaurant. Entered projects varied in scope from corporate boardrooms to university buildings, with AV budgets ranging from $25,000 to $4 million.

“It wasn’t until after the judging that we realized the geographic breadth of the winners,” said Grimes. “Almost every PRO AV Spotlight Award winner is from a different state, showing that great work is happening everywhere.”
